		<description>Hello to both of you.

I can&#039;t help but share with you my experience with the roosters.
We had 2 of them a few summers back. Why two? They were magnificent birds, green and bluish plumage with hints of black and red. Couldn&#039;t decide which one to put on the butcher&#039;s block lest on our dinner plate. So we put up with their operatic rendition all summer long and so did our guests.
The competition would start at dawn with the rising of the hens and lasted until all the females they had to protect or seduce had their heads tucked under their wings for a well deserved rest. Laying eggs and serving the males is a full time job in a hen house.(Contrary to what people say, hens do not need a rooster to lay eggs)
A word of advice: Rise with the rooster and put your head on your pillow when the hens do so.....
My husband preferred to close the window and blinds to get a bit more sleep.
He will probably outlive me because they say that you rejuvenate when you sleep.
I would like to send you photos and comments on our recent trip to the Magdelene Islands. Do you have another email contact?
Take care... will see you in a while.

<description>Reading your post brings back great memories of France, Nathalie.

Don&#039;t you just love it? The great wine and cheese and bread? The beautiful countryside? The lovely little towns? The sound of the language as spoken in France?

Have you tried Pastis with ice water yet? It&#039;s a refreshing drink on one of those really hot summer afternoons. It&#039;s cool the way the appearance of the Pastis is transformed when you pour the ice water into it. A note of caution though : it goes to your head really fast.

The fun of learning to drive a standard transmission was also part of my experience of Europe.

Easy on the roosters, Nathalie. Aren&#039;t roosters to France what beavers are to Canada? Wouldn&#039;t want to cause an international incident, would you?

Continue having fun.
